This is an adorable little app under the category 'education' although it reads right through like a musical storybook. It also features a favorite song of many young children and their parents, "the wheels on the bus (go round and round)". It is an ideal title for children under 5, even as young as one or two.
The developer, Duck Duck Moose, is known for making quality children's apps. They have several wonderfully colorful, musical and educational titles in the app store and this one is no exception. It is well made and easy enough for a small child to use themselves. The interactivity is just right for young hands to master, while the animation & sound effects are both amusing and tied into the lyrics nicely. The child can spin the wheels of the bus to make it move, slide the doors 'open and shut' or move the wipers to 'swish, swish, swish'.
The app is also packed with settings for the sound & narrated lyrics, including the choice of Violin, Cello, Piano Trio, Duet or Kazoo. For language, there is English (male or female), French, Spanish, Italian, German and my favorite, Gibberish. It even has the option to record your own singing. Overall this is an exceptional children's app. It's fun, has features that fit the musical story and is full of fresh, vivid graphics that will appeal to young children the world over.
All reviews are of the app, not the platform/device. Based originally on iPad versions. Minor technical details may vary.

"The Wheels on the Bus" is a popular children's song with a repetitive chorus and simple tune that allows new lyrics to be added easily. In this book the following lines are represented: the Wheels on the bus go round and round, the doors on the bus go open and shut, the driver on the bus says 'move on back!', the wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish, the people on the bus go up and down, the baker on the bus says 'have some cake!', the bubbles on the bus go pop, pop, pop, and the dog on the bus goes woof, woof, woof.
