This is a terrific app for young children from Newleaf Solutions, whose tagline, "We make apps for little fingers!" rings true. Busy Bunnies is very solidly made with easy page turn arrows and interactive elements that respond well to the littlest hands. Every page has a few cute animations, like bouncing bunnies, a watering can that makes the carrots grow and even bath bubbles to pop. The sounds are crisp and well-suited to the interactivity. It is a perfect book for a todder to play with, even.
The book's storyline is more like a toddler board book, with a tale of two bunnies going through all their daily activies from getting up to going to bed. The book is simply illustrated in a very cute graphic style that will appeal to children. While it is a bit interactive for bedtime, the interactivity is simple enough to not be too distracting, plus the book is also very short, coming in at under 5 minutes.
The book is nicely narrated with text that highlights as it is read, a great feature for young pre-readers. The app could use a home button and/or a way to navigate within the book, but the simple setup is otherwise perfect for young children. I would warn parents to turn off internet access while very young children play with the app, though, to avoid triggering the links to the app store for review & the developer's website (located on the final 'credits' page).
Otherwise this is an extremely well made app with solid educational features and a wonderful, intuitive interface. It will delight young children while reinforcing the rhythm of daily life. We all get up, play (or work), eat, use the potty, bathe and go to bed every day, just like these cute and very busy bunnies.

The busy bunnies get up early, ride their bike (a bicycle for two) and play the day away. They watch clouds, throw their ball in the sky, ride in a sail boat and even take a break for the potty. Readers can help them water their garden and make carrot stew. Then the bunnies take a bath (hanging out to dry on the clothesline), before putting on their pajamas and going to bed.
