Twinkle Twinkle is an adorable book app with music video of the classic song included. The computer animation in this title is superb, accompanied by a simple but sweet story about an owl making friends with a star in the night sky. The title is also interactive, letting the reader trigger most of the animated scenes.
Extras include a page with 20 stars to tap and hear the count aloud (although no numbers appear, the stars do animate and 'spin' as they are tapped). There is also a 2+ minute animated music video of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star that is very relaxing with delightful piano music. The book itself is presented with short animated clips that play briefly before each page's text appears.
The narration is clear, concise and articulate, but overall it is a bit sterile, lacking the warmth and pacing that could make this ebook great instead of just good. My little boy loved this app overall, though. He told me he liked the animation best and I'd have to agree with the little lad on this one point. This app has really wonderful scenes throughout with expressive animation.
Overall, this is a well made animated book app with simple page turns and ample settings for navigation. The adorable interactivity and short but sweet story make this title perfect for bedtime reading in particular. The music, simple story and sound effects are seemlessly integrated with the cute animations to make this book app a sure winner for pajama storytime.

A little owl sits in a tree one night, wondering who he can find to play with him? He looks up to the sky and begins to sing the familiar song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to the stars up above. Then the owl flies up, up and up until he is also above the world. He says 'hello' to a star. "Yipee!" says the star. The two explore the Milky Way with the star 'shooting' the two across the sky.
Then it is time to go home as the sun will soon come up! The owl is sad, wanting the night-time fun to continue. "I'll be right here. We'll play another day," says the star as the two say their goodbyes. "When you feel lonely, just look up," suggests the little star to the owl. Soon the owl is home on a branch of a tree, just in time for a nap. The end.
