Weird But True

Fun Facts for Kids!

Featuring a name you can trust, National Geographics' Weird But True app is full of fascinating facts about science and nature. Bright, crisp and colorful graphics on simple pages that feel more like a slide-show than a book are entertaining, but have little enhancement. There are brief sound effects, but no narration. The app also contains ads for Goldfish, the sponsor of this app. Although free, it is actually really more of a teaser or 'lite' app, containing only 24 of the over 600 possible fact cards, which can be purchased in-app for another $5 total (at time of this review). Educational, solidly built but sparse in features while heavy on advertising links.

Recommended with reservations note above.
