"You used to live in heaven," begins this book, explaining that all souls start there before you are born and end there after you die. Written by Constantia Oomen who has previously published books for adults about out-of-body experiences and the astral plane. This makes for a rather unique iPad book to meet a very specific need.
This little title covers topics like out-of-body experiences and what happens when you die (or are near-death) with a warm but distinctly new-age spirituality that is worthy of a preview before sharing it with youngsters. The text is presented in a poem like way over a series of pages with inspirational photographs and classical music. The book is not narrated, and other than a page guide has no settings.
Overall this is a very simple title, with limited enhancements. But for the unique topic, there is likely no other app on the market to cover the afterlife for children. There are many apps for specific biblical stories but nothing, until now, quite like Through Heaven. The story is followed by a single drawing page that says, "Draw your own wings here!"
All reviews are of the app, not the platform/device. Based originally on iPad versions. Minor technical details may vary.

You used to live in heaven, a place where there is 'so much to see and do!' It's a place where you have wings and can fly, a place of love and happiness. It's important to remember that heaven is also in your heart and that you can travel out-of-body in your dreams and when near-death. Then when we grow old, we die and return to heaven as souls once again.
