Written and illustrated by Marc Smith, this lovely book app reads more like a long poem than a typical storybook. Out of the Question features well-crafted rhyming verse and gorgeous, lightly animated artwork in a solidly made app. The narration is soothing, with piano music in the background, although the text does not highlight as read. There is no interactivity (beyond page turning) in this long (55 page) book, making it a great bedtime read. A lot of challenging vocabulary (5/6th grade reading level) makes this title ideal for ages 8 and up, although children and adults of all ages will enjoy listening to and watching the story about a girl who can fly.
Recommended.
