Since the iPad has launched, exciting applications and new ways of reading have become possible. I had the opportunity to review Sneak a Snack by Mario Brodeur, which takes advantage of this new technology. From the moment you open the book, start tilting the iPad to see more of the room. The story is engaging and can be narrated or read alone. Press items in the story for interesting and exciting surprises. The artwork is colorful and realistic. The story moves along in a movie-like fashion. A young boy is the story narrator and easy to understand. He uses various voices for his pets and is very amusing. This app provided many reads and much laughter with my grandchildren. There is a unique character to this app that keeps children interested. The story includes a cute mystery.
